Should be administered to newborns when there is doubt concerning passive immunity. A 5 cc sub-Q injection is recommended for kids for prevention. A 10 cc sub-Q injection is recommended for treatment.

Sore Mouth Vaccine

Sore Mouth Vaccine is approved for goats and is recommended for use where the infection is already present. Vaccinating goats that have been exposed to the virus will not completely eliminate the chance of those animals still getting sore mouth, but will greatly reduce the severity of the outbreak should it occur. Tetanus Antitoxin

For use as an aid in the prevention and treatment of tetanus. It provides quick, but short-term (7 - 14 days) protection. Each vial contains 1500 units (5 cc). Administer 2 1/2 cc SQ or IM for the prevention of tetanus. Always use when castrating, disbudding, or in case of injury. Treatment after the onset of tetanus would require 3000 to 15, 000 units (10cc to 30cc) but success of treatment for infected animals is not assured.
